Looking to put together a trip for August/September timeframe.  Would like to experience some exceptional rainbow trout fishing.

These are the date I am looking at.

August 26 to September 3

September 2 to September 10

September 9 to September 17

Plan to do four(4) drift boat trips on the Kenai River and three(3) walk & wade trips on the Russian River.

I know that several of the members on this forum fish these waters extensively and I would appreciate your ideas and suggestions in order to make my trip a successful one.

Thank you.

I agree with AlaskaChuck.  The bead bite for trout on the main river or the 2nd run Sockeye is in full swing at that time as well as the 2nd run of Kings on their spawn as well.  The Pinks will spawn through September so it is the "mother Load" of food for the trout and char.
