Gone through a lot of fly line over my years and I am very happy with the vast improvements the industry has made in the castability and the floatability of the lines.  One of the best on the market is Shark skin for castability and being a high floater which makes mending effortless and does not spook the fish.  It also picks up very well due to the high floating aspect of the line and shoots back up with little or no effort due to the weight forward component.  Another super line that gets little attention but has been around for a long time is Royal Wulff.  Lee and Joan Wulff developed the Triangle Taper and man does this fly line do every thing Sharks skin does for less money.  The re-invented Air Flo is supposedly taking the market by storm and I cant wait to try some this Summer.

Have used Rio for the past 15 years.  Pleased with the results.  Thinking about trying Royal Wulff as I have heard great things about the line.  I am told that it cast as well as well as Shark Skin without the noise. Will report back.

Orvis Hydros fly line has got to be one of the best additions to the fly fishing community in years.  Smooth, easy to manage and vast like a dream.  Worth every penny and last a long time.

Just got Airflo's super-dri distance pro. Sure loads easily for very long casts, I was really amazed. Floats well too, and the mending was superb.
